Your Origin Member Portal subscription

Origin Member Portal is billed to Origin. It is separate from the dues you pay your society. The plans are $7.99 / month (Billed monthly) and $76 / year (20% off vs monthly).

Without a subscription you can browse in read-only mode. An active subscription lets you add and edit animals, submit registrations and transfers, use the marketplace, and search the full registry.

Choose a plan the first time you sign in

After your profile and membership type, Origin asks how you want to use the portal. Society dues stay in the portal payments area.

Free is $0 and is labeled Browse in read-only mode. It includes:

• Browse your animals and member profile
• View society news and upcoming events
• Read-only access to registry records

Origin Member Portal includes:

• Add and edit animals in your flock
• Submit registrations and transfers
• Access the member marketplace
• Full registry database search

Continue with free access leaves you on the free plan. Subscribe for $7.99 / month or Subscribe for $76 / year matches the plan you selected and opens checkout. The button says Redirecting... while checkout starts.

Subscribe later

Open Member Settings under Account, then Member portal subscription.

The section is Origin Member Portal. Until you subscribe, the page says you can browse in read-only mode, and that subscribing lets you add animals and make registry changes.

1. Under Billing, choose $7.99 / month or $76 / year.
2. Select Subscribe.
3. Complete checkout.

When checkout finishes, the page confirms Origin Member Portal subscription updated. Leaving checkout confirms Checkout cancelled.

Plan shows Origin Member Portal and the price, billed directly to Origin.

Status is one of these:

An active plan shows Renews on with the next billing date. Manage subscription opens billing, where you update the card or cancel. Cancelling keeps access through the end of the period you already paid.

Billing history lists each invoice with Date, Description, Amount, Status, and Invoice. View opens that invoice. Before the first charge, the page says No invoices yet. Your first invoice will appear here after your subscription is billed.

When a task is locked

Locked buttons open a prompt. Subscribe · $7.99 / month or $76 / year opens Member portal subscription.

• Search Database says Subscribe to Origin Member Portal to view full registry database.
• Marketplace opens Activate your portal to use the marketplace. Activate portal starts checkout. Learn more opens the subscription page. Return to dashboard closes the prompt.
• Starting a registration opens Activate your portal to register your society’s animals. Activate portal starts checkout there too.

People on the same farm

An active subscription on the farm’s primary owner covers the other people on that farm. You can also subscribe on your own account if you are a registry member.

If you have farm portal access and you are not a registry member, the prompt is Farm portal editing is locked. It says The farm’s primary owner needs an Origin Member Portal subscription before you can add or edit records. Ask that primary owner to subscribe from Member Settings, then Member portal subscription.

App Store

A subscription bought in the Origin app is billed through the App Store. The page says Subscribed through the App Store. Receipts and cancellation live in Apple Subscriptions. Manage in App Store opens Apple Subscriptions. Billing history says Receipts for App Store purchases live in Apple Subscriptions, not here.

While that App Store subscription is active, checkout on the web says This Origin Member Portal subscription is billed through the App Store. Manage it in Apple Subscriptions.

When this page is not shown

Some societies include portal editing, so Member portal subscription is not in Member Settings.

A demo account shows Payments are disabled on demo accounts. Contact Origin to upgrade to a full account.

An account on hold stays read-only even with an active subscription. The banner says your account is on hold, and that changes and new submissions stay off until a society administrator removes the hold.
