Delete or archive an animal record
Keep an animal on file without showing it in the registry, or remove the record permanently.

Archive and delete are limited to a Registry Administrator. Both start from the animal list. You can select one animal or several. The same action applies to every selected record.
Archiving changes the registration status to Archived. Life status can stay Alive, Dead, or Unknown.
Archive a record
Open Registry.
Select the checkbox for each animal.
Open the menu beside Transfer Animals.
Select Archive Records.
Select Archive records to confirm.
Cancel closes the dialog and leaves the records as they were.
The list confirms how many records were archived. Animals that were already archived are skipped.
What archive does
The animal stays in the registry. Ownership, pedigree links, photos, documents, and certificates stay with it.
It drops out of the default list. All registrations leaves it out as well. To see it again:
Open Registry.
Select Filter.
Under Registration, select Archived.
The name shows an Archived badge. Opening the record shows the date it was archived. The fields are locked, so the record cannot be edited. It is also left out of member search and the marketplace.
Delete a record
Open Registry.
Select the checkbox for each animal.
Open the menu beside Transfer Animals.
Select Delete Records.
Select Delete records to confirm.
The confirmation says the delete cannot be undone. Cancel leaves the records in place.
Deleting removes the animal, its photos, documents, certificates, notes, and marketplace listing. Other animals that list it as sire or dam stay in the registry. That parent link is cleared.
A semen-use record that names the animal as the female blocks the delete. The animal stays in the registry, and the list shows an error.
