Staff roles and permissions
Set what each administrator role can access. Those settings apply to everyone in that role.

Open Settings, then Manage users, and select Roles and permissions. Assigning a person to a role is in Create a staff member.
The dialog title is Roles and permissions. Choose a Role. The roles are Registry Administrator, Secretary, Treasurer, and Regional Representative. You adjust the permissions on these roles. Origin does not add a new role name from this dialog.
Registry Administrator always has every permission turned on. The page says those permissions cannot be turned off, and Save permissions stays disabled for that role.
Default access
Manage members and Manage animals can be turned on only for Registry Administrator and Secretary. On the other roles those two stay off. Saving them for another role shows Only registry administrators and secretaries can manage members or animals.
Regional Representative in this list is the optional messaging assignment, not a replacement for the primary role. A person who is a Secretary and also a regional representative keeps the Secretary permissions. The region itself is chosen when you add or edit the person.
Change a role
Choose the Role.
Turn permissions on or off under Permissions. A permission that differs from the starting set is marked Custom.
Select Save permissions.
The page confirms how many permissions were saved for that role, for example 6 permissions saved for this role. Every person assigned that role picks up the change.
Reset defaults appears after you change a permission and puts that role back to the starting set above. Select Save permissions to keep the reset.
Cancel closes the dialog without saving.
