Create a farm

Add a farm from the Farms list, or create one while adding a member.

A farm is the group members share for animal access. Legal ownership stays with each member. The farm is given a farm number, shown as Farm no. on its page.

Create a farm on its own

  1. Open People.

  2. Select Farms.

  3. Select Farm.

  4. Enter the farm name. Flock name and Premise ID are optional.

  5. Select Create farm.

Cancel closes the dialog. After the farm is created, its page opens. It has no members until someone is assigned to it.

Create a farm with a member

The farm field on a member form includes Create new farm…. Enter New farm name. Flock name is optional.

Where

When the farm is created

Invite

When you select Send invitation.

Add member

When the application is approved.

Membership Review, on Account & member number

When you select Approve Member.

When you save the member.

Flock name

When Flock names must be unique is on, under Settings → Society details → Membership Settings, a flock name already used by another farm is rejected. The message is This flock name is already used by another farm.
