To Process

Work the To Process queue

Review membership applications and registry requests before they change the records.

Last updated 1 day ago

To Process is in the dashboard sidebar under Home. The item shows a count while requests are waiting. Opening it requires the Process registry permission. Who has that permission is in Staff roles and permissions.

A request stays here until it is approved or rejected. Approving applies the change. Rejecting leaves the record as it was.

Choose a list

The sidebar under To Process is the set of lists:

ListWhat is waiting
AllEvery pending request
RegistrationsNew animal registrations
Birth notificationsBirths submitted for acknowledgement
TransfersOwnership transfers
AmendmentsChanges to an animal or a member
DeathsDeath reports
MembershipsApplications to join
Recently ProcessedRequests already approved or rejected

The page title matches the list. All is titled To Process. The count beside the filters is items on All and Recently Processed, and members on the other lists.

Each pending row is marked Pending Review. The type names in the table are New Registration, Birth Notified, New Transfer, New Amendment, New Death, and New Membership.

All, and lists grouped by member

All shows one row per request. Select a row to open its review.

The other pending lists group those requests by member. A member with one request shows that animal or application. A member with several shows how many are pending, such as 3 pending items. Select the member to open their list. The page title is the member’s name, and Back to To Process returns to the list you came from.

When that member has pending registrations, those registrations open together so you can review them as a batch. Other request types stay as individual rows. Select a row to open that review.

An empty list says Nothing waiting for review in this category.

Search and filter

The search field is Search by type, submitter, or subject…

Filters on a pending list:

FilterChoices
TypeShown on All. All types, Registrations, Transfers, Amendments, Deaths, or Memberships. Birth notifications have their own list.
Submitted byAll submitters, or one person from the current list
Date submittedAll dates, Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, or Last 30 days
StatusAll statuses or Pending Review

A search or filter with no matches says No items match your search or filters. Changing lists clears the search and filters.

Decline a request

On the first step of an animal review, Request Changes and Reject are on the right. On a narrow screen they are in the more menu.

Both open Reject registration.

  • Internal note is optional. The help under the field says it is visible only to society administrators.
  • Note to member is required. It is saved on the rejection and shown to the member. Origin does not email that note.
  • Cancel closes the dialog.
  • Reject registration confirms. The button reads Rejecting... while it saves.

The request is marked rejected and leaves the queue. The confirmation is Request rejected. The animal, owner, or member record stays as it was.

A membership application uses Reject on its own, without this dialog. That path is in Review a membership application.

Recently processed

Recently Processed lists requests that were approved or rejected. The time range starts at Last 7 days. The menu also offers Today, Yesterday, Last 14 days, and Last 30 days. The list only goes back 30 days.

Each row is Approved or Rejected. The columns are Submitted By, Type, Subject, Status, and Processed. Select a row to open that request.

Filters here use Date processed, and Status offers All statuses, Approved, and Rejected.

An empty range says No items processed in the last 7 days, or the same sentence for the range you picked.
