Open a farm

See who is on a farm, change its details, and open its animals.

Last updated 1 day ago

Open People, then Farms, and select the farm. Back to Farms returns to the list.

The page has three tabs: Overview, Members, and the society’s animal name, such as Sheep. Each tab shows a count when there is something to count.

Overview

Farm summary states that members on the farm share access to each other’s animals, and that legal ownership stays with the individual member. The counts are Members and the animal total.

Profile lists Farm no., Farm name, Primary owner, Flock name, and Premise ID.

Edit farm is available with Manage members. The dialog title is Edit farm. Change Farm name, Premise ID, and Primary owner, then select Save changes. The confirmation is Farm updated. Flock name on this dialog is read-only. The note says to use Change Flock Name for the official flock name.

Change Flock Name is under the flock name on the profile. Flock name history lists earlier names. A reserved name has Release. Releasing it confirms Reserved flock name released.

Primary owner can be changed when the farm has more than one member. The edit dialog says so when only one member is on the farm.

Members

The Members tab lists Member no., Name, Role, Membership, Status, Email, and Phone.

A society member’s role is Member, or Member · Primary owner for the primary owner. Select that row to open the member. Someone with farm portal access who is not a society member shows their farm role, such as Employee, Family, or Manager.

Animals

The animal tab lists the animals recorded on this farm. Select an animal to open its record. When the farm has none, the tab says This farm has no registered followed by the society’s animal word.
