Verify a certificate

Confirm a registration certificate by scanning its QR code.

Last updated 1 day ago

When the certificate layout includes a QR code, the label is Scan to verify this certificate. Scanning it opens a public page. No account is required. Issuing the certificate is in Issue a certificate.

A current certificate

A matching certificate opens with Official registry verification and a Verified registration badge. The badge says the animal’s registration matches the society’s current records.

Registration record shows the registration number and the certificate ID. The details are Name, Registration No., Sex, Date of birth, and Current owner.

The page states that the society issued the verification and that the certificate reflects the registration as of today. When an issue date is on file, it includes that date.

Certificate document shows the PDF.

After ownership changes

A QR code from a certificate issued before the current owner is no longer the current verification. The page shows Certificate no longer valid, the animal’s name, the registration number, and the society.

It explains that the certificate is no longer valid because ownership has changed, and it gives the date the verification link was invalidated. A current certificate has to come from the present owner or the society.

A link that does not match

A code or link that does not belong to a certificate shows Page not found. The page says the address does not exist or may have been moved. Go home returns to the Origin site.
