Track embryo inventory

Record embryos your farm has in storage and mark them when they are used.

Last updated About 7 hours ago

Open Breeding, then Embryo Inventory.

The inventory is shared with everyone on your farm. Privacy opens Embryo inventory privacy. Got it closes it.

Without a farm, the page says embryo inventory is shared at the farm level and asks you to assign a farm. Go to farm settings opens that page. Add inventory stays unavailable until a farm is assigned.

Active lists embryos still in storage. The count is the quantity on hand. Used lists embryos that have been recorded as used. The count is how many were used.

An empty Active list says No active embryo inventory yet. Add an entry to get started. An empty Used list says No used embryo records yet.

Add inventory

Add inventory opens Add embryo inventory. The description says the fields are free text.

Sire and Donor Ewe are required. Straw Code, Storage Facility, and Notes are optional. Quantity in straw is the number stored.

Documents accepts a PDF or image up to 10 MB each.

Add inventory on the dialog confirms Embryo inventory added.

Select a row to open its details. The title is the sire and donor ewe. An active row has Edit, which opens Edit embryo inventory. Save changes confirms Embryo inventory updated.

The Active columns are Sire, Donor Ewe, Straw Code, Quantity, Storage Facility, and Notes.

Use embryos

Select one active row, then Use. The dialog is Use embryo.

Quantity used cannot be more than the number available. The note says using fewer keeps the remainder active.

Recipient Information has Recipient Name, Scrapie Tag, Date of Embryo Transfer, and Embryo Transfer Technician. Recipient Name and Date of Embryo Transfer are required.

Save usage confirms how many embryos were recorded and how many remain. Using the last ones confirms Marked as used.

Used columns are Recipient, Scrapie Tag, Transfer Date, Technician, and Qty Used. Select a used row to open Used embryo record.

Restore puts the selected used embryos back on the active inventory. One record confirms how many embryos were restored.

Delete

Delete opens Delete inventory item? Confirm with Delete. The confirmation is Deleted. Deleting a used row also deletes that inventory record and its used-embryo history.
