Transfer an animal

Ownership stays with you until the society approves the transfer.

From the animal

1. Open My Animals and select the animal.
2. Select Transfer.
3. The dialog is Transfer animal.
4. Select the new owner.
5. Set the Effective date. It starts as today.
6. Add Notes if you need them.
7. Select Submit for review.

Leaving the new owner blank shows Select a new owner. The page confirms Submitted transfer requests for 1 animal.

The dialog says the request goes to the society for review, and ownership does not change until the transfer is approved.

From the list

Select the animals on My Animals, open Actions, and select Transfer. Submit the same request for the selected animals. The confirmation names how many animals were submitted.

Transfer stays locked until you have an active Origin Member Portal subscription, or until the farm’s primary owner does. An account on hold keeps the action locked.
